At ProBikeTrader, we are dedicated to providing premium pre-owned bicycles that are meticulously inspected, fully serviced, and thoroughly cleaned. Every bike is prepared to the highest standard, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
Standard 3-Month Quality Assurance & Protection
Every bicycle purchased at full list price from ProBikeTrader includes our comprehensive 3-Month Quality Assurance & Protection Plan from the date of purchase (All Bikes after 01/07/2025). This plan reflects the exceptional standard of our reconditioning process and provides you with essential peace of mind.
What's Covered:
- Frameset and Components: Protection against mechanical or electrical faults arising from defects in materials or workmanship within the first 90 days.
- Performance Issues: We address significant performance issues that impair the bike's primary functions (e.g., persistent gear problems, brake pressure loss, unresolvable mechanical noises).
Extend Your Protection: 1-Year Total Warranty
For even greater confidence and long-term security, you have the option to extend your protection to a full 12 months from the original purchase date.
12-Month Total Extended Protection:
- For Bikes Under £2,500: Cost is £100 (This upgrades your 3-month standard protection to a full 12 months).
- For Bikes Over £2,500: Cost is £200 (This upgrades your 3-month standard protection to a full 12 months).
- Coverage: Provides comprehensive coverage for the frameset and all mechanical and electrical components (subject to exclusions below).
What Our Warranty Does NOT Cover (Exclusions)
Our protection plans are designed to cover unforeseen defects, not damage caused by usage or external factors. They do NOT cover:
- Normal Wear and Tear: Including consumables like tyres, brake pads, chains, and minor cosmetic blemishes.
- Damage from Impact or Accident: Any damage resulting from crashes, falls, collisions, or misuse.
- Punctures: Considered normal operational incidents.
- Modifications & Unauthorised Repairs: Damage caused by alterations or repairs not performed by ProBikeTrader or PBT Authorised Bicycle Shop.
- Neglect or Improper Maintenance: Issues arising from lack of routine servicing, improper storage, or use inconsistent with normal cycling practices.
- Manufacturer's Warranty: Where an original manufacturer warranty still applies to specific components, it will supersede ours for that part.
Making a Warranty Claim
Should you need to make a claim:
- Contact Us: Reach out to our customer service team with details of the issue and your proof of purchase.
- Assessment: We will assess your claim, which may require bringing the bicycle to our location for inspection.
- Resolution: If covered, we will arrange for the necessary repair or replacement at our cost. For customers not local to our shop, we will arrange for the warranty work to be carried out at a trusted local bike shop near you.
Important Legal Information
Our liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts. This warranty is governed by UK law and is valid only for the original purchaser, being non-transferable.
