The Shimano FD-M667 SLX front derailleur is the Down-Swing option of the SLX compact front derailleur. Shimano has dedicated two models of front derailleurs in their SLX group specifically for use with all mountain compact cranksets or doubles like the FC-M665 SLX crank. The Shimano FD-M667 SLX front derailleur has a compact cage design that gives additional tire and swingarm clearance. Angled limit screws give easier accessibility with various suspension designs. It can accommodate a maximum chainring size of 36 teeth.
The Shimano FD-M667 SLX front derailleur is Dual Pull so it can run in harmony with all types of cable routing. The Multi-Clamp version will work with 34.9 diameter seat tubes. The SLX front derailleur is designed to run specifically with 9 speed chains and cassettes.
